Larkin’s Rhythm on the River, Greenville’s 17-week summer music festival presented by Delta Apparel, kicked off last Thursday at the Peace Center Amphitheater, and now has announced that it would donate 50 tickets to Greenville charities each week.

The initiative, called Larkin’s Big Give, is sponsored by Michelin on Main. Details on how to apply for the tickets can be found at www.larkinsbiggive.com by May 25. The “Give” is in the form of donated tickets that can be sold and the money used to support a charities’ cause, be distributed to people within their organizations as incentives, or used for an outing for those they serve.

The recipient charities will be named at the May 26 concert with a performance of the Fantastic Shakers!  Charities may also register by contacting Andrea Brazell at 864-467-3020.

Larkin’s Rhythm on the River is a privately produced Greenville concert series, designed to promote a family friendly, affordable night out in the beautiful setting of the City of Greenville’s Peace Center Amphitheater.  The Concert Series is 17 weeks of authentic South Carolina “Beach Music.”  This music, with its roots in 50’s Rhythm and Blues, is the official music of South Carolina, and the “only” music you can dance the “Shag” to (which is South Carolina’s official dance.)  Beach music sees its roots from the “Grand Strand” coastal areas of South Carolina.

Larkin’s Rhythm on the River is in the seventh year of operations, and through its fund raising initiative has helped Greenville non-profits raise over $400,000 since the beginning of the concert series.

If you would like the opportunity to use the tickets, Michelin and Larkin’s would like to hear from you over the next two weeks!
